MyWordz® - Get the Tech

Phase 1: Engaging with The Monster Spelling Piano App for Tablets & MyWordz® with MySpeekie® Tech

In Phase 1, children will use MyWordz® with MySpeekie® Tech to:
 

🔹 Check Monster Mapping® – Type words with s, a, t, p, i, n to see the mapped version and build confidence in how those words are structured.
They will learn to type any words they want to see mapped and use this as a Word Check when they can't (yet) decode a word themselves.

🔹 MySpeekie – Type words in Phonemies to see them spelled out and hear them voiced.
This feature can also be used as a Spell Check to verify the spelling of any word.

🔹 Map & Drag – Type words, see them mapped, and drag down the Phonemies to download and print, creating a personal Word Bank.

🔹 Phonemies Screen – Check their knowledge of all Monster Sounds.

After Phase 1, children will continue developing Word Mapping Mastery®, using these tools to support their learning within systematic synthetic phonics programmes and for words that contain correspondences not explicitly taught.
 

In Phase 1, children will use the Monster Spelling Piano app to learn:
 

🎹 Green Code Level (GCL) Sound Pics® (graphemes) & Phonemies (characters representing the phonemes) – Becoming familiar with 'letters and sounds'.

🎹 Forming Sound Pics® – Writing GCL words using satpin Sound Pics® (e.g., sat, pat, tan, pan, tin, pin, ants).

🎹 GCP Rap – Reinforcing s, a, t, p, i, n grapheme-phoneme correspondences.

🎹 Exploring Other Code Levels – Introducing GPCs tested in the Phonics Screening Check (PSC).
